My name is Kristen Windoloski, and I am a fifth year graduate student in the applied mathematics PhD program at North Carolina State University. I received my M.S. in Applied Mathematics from NCSU in 2020 and my B.S. in Mathematics from Fitchburg State University in 2018. My research focus is on the mathematical modeling of the inflammatory response during an endotoxin challenge and its interactions with other regulatory processes such as hormone release and cardiovascular function. My work can be applied to model sepsis, which can help build better diagnostic protocols, identify biomarkers, and test potential treatments.
